Well, if you were looking forward to finally getting a Transformers: The Movie accurate pink Hot Rod into your collection you'll probably have to wait for them to show up in stores to get one. Surprise pre-orders opened today on both Target.com and Hasbro Pulse, but then sold out shortly after. It's possible Target will add more, but it may not be until after they're stocked in stores. Hot Rod is part of a large exclusive "MTMTE Collection" (what leaks referred to as a 40th Anniversary capsule) at Target that will also include Leader Optimus Prime and Megatron, Voyager Starscream and Scourge, Deluxe Hound and Prowl, and an Insecticon 3-pack. Probably not all at once, but we at least know from Hot Rod's listing that he should be released around April 1. Oh, but the best part is the price, $35! Hopefully it stays that price in stores. If that's not enough, while he does include all of the accessories of the original SS but also a sword and shield for a little shuttle training.

Lets us know if you're excited about finally getting a pink Hot Rod (that isn't a redeco of the G1 figure) and if you managed to snag one of these off of either store in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

Looks interesting. Not sure I need a second version of this mold for a sword and shield and a red hinge. Also, since it's a Target Exclusive, it's going to be very hard to for me to get anyway. sigh...

I'm not worried about getting this, I'm very happy with the previous release. The new extras are not worth the higher price and the hassle. Maybe down the road if he's available.

Yeah, won't rush out to try to find him. But if it ever crosses my path and is not offensively priced, I may pick it up. "May" being the operative word here.

That's typical of these types of exclusive preorders. Good thing I have zero interest in Magenta Hot Rod, that's not pink, so nothing to worry about missing out on or trying to track down. However, if this happens with Starscream I'll be very upset...

Right out the gate, I couldn't keep a straight face. "It's not pink, it's light-ish red!"

Also, much as I like the Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime character, I have to wonder why the focus on the fishing scene for the box packaging. Not necessarily bad, just... odd.

$35 price is the real surprise here, though. :P

My guess is because it's Hot Rod's introduction scene.

Eh, strike that previous post! :-P

I saw a video review and though the majority don't care much for this new Ravage I feel he measures up better than that of the Siege/Legacy figure....'nuff said!

Also, anyone have concerns over Hot Rods arm joints at the shoulders that with time or the wrong amount pressure applied may cause breakage...? :VEHI:

Transformers Tuesday delivered again. Hound was available through Pulse and Target, however has since sold out. This Hound looks to be incredibly similar to the one that was released in the Autobot 5 Pack a couple of years ago. Hound is sporting his earth mode- Jeep (look alike) vehicle. He is complete with his blaster and shoulder cannon.

Hound is the second installment of the Target Exclusive More than Meets the Eye collection and should be available in early March at Target.

For the third week of Transformer Tuesday: More than Meets the Eye Reveals, Scourge has been released for preorder. Scourge is still available via Target.
This release is a reissue of the Studio Series Scourge that was released as the SS86-05 back in 2020. The only differences from the stock photography are the lack of the pack in background, and removal of the Studio Series numbering as the figure does have new packaging.
This is a great chance for fans who missed out on this release in 2020, or if you need so additional sweeps to be identical to the Scourge who commands them!
Scourge like Hotrod and Hound is due for an early March Release through Target.

We have a lot of news and images from the upcoming Transformers Studio Series More Than Meets The Eye Collection leaders Optimus Prime and Megatron. These are slight retools of the recent Studio Series Optimus Prime and Megatron figures, meant to represent their clash in the Transformers animated film from 1986. They both have new chests and headsculpts along with new accessories. These are expected to go up tomorrow as preorders on both the Target and Pulse websites, around 9am ET. They are both exclusives.
